@stux the primary audience is easy to manipulate kids. Pocket money plus control over where it's spent. What he does is illegal in many countries already. "Tell mom to buy the shirt for $50, and you have a chance to win". Super scammy and rather hard to explain to kids.

The scams continue.Iāve made the personal choice to not buy youtuber merch. Because it seems like, eventually, they all have some jacked up controversy. @stux Mr. Beast is the logical consequence of clickbaiting and gaming the algorithm. Youtube incubated and nursed this crap into existence and now relies on it to justify Youtube's continued existence as Google must maintain its valuation in the age of high interest rates. There are a thousand Mr. Beasts out there that are as dedicated to doing whatever is required to sell ads, in television, print media, and on the internet. The only solution is to shut it off.
