Is there a name for the trope of the silly, slightly simple well-meaning monk or nun?

@futurebird The funniest priest (not a monk) I know about is Father Ted. Hilarious.https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111958/We've been in the house where Father Ted was supposed to live (it was mostly only used in the trailer). We had tea and scones. It was lovely.

@futurebirdNot quite what you asked, but there was an idea of the "fool saint," who wasn't necessarily in the clergy, but who seemed very gentle and holy, but was just mentally challenged in some way. I learned it from reading Robertson Davies Salterton Trilogy (which really didn't age well, but that's another story.)
