I'm not saying they'd have to set me up but they could at least pretend to care. Haven't been helping them too much recently because I'm really busy, but if I have free time I need to be spending it looking for a woman and not surrounded by dudes (which is the environment I'm in every day at work).WN guy I know has at least tried before but he'll tell me about a girl, get me to message her, and then turns out it's a single mom who's 42 years old with two kids. At least he's tried before though. I'm not demanding my friends matchmake for me either, but I don't need to be spending more time than I already am in all male environments. In terms of Spain, i make decent money. A friend of mine who is an Engineer earns a bit more than me and as a truck driver i earned almost double what i earn now. Truck driving is less stressful, but more time consuming and tiresome. Plus, there is also the fact that you will be at home 1 day per week and it also means showering 1 day per week.Going back to driving trucks is my backup option. It's nifty, i'll get hired on the spot and i'll get loads of money despite the shitty conditions. And also the work colleagues that smoke, drink and fuck whores on the regular.

Seems like you would have more time to be free . I drive a truck now and I work 5 days a week unless I want to work 6. I mean, it's a lot of negativity all around me every day, every hour. It's no joke when i say every bus driver is a bit insane, because this work enviroment (unless you do intercity/tourist transport) is bound to drive you insane.Elementary school kids scream, fight, shout, kick, spit, talk back and laugh like maniacs and they know you cannot do anything about it or you will be in hot water (no joke, even screaming at a kid to behave will have the parent grilling you over traumatizing the little shit). Driving around kids will be a test of endurance for your patience and believe me, if i could do anything about the kids i would be called Herod.Driving Care/nursing home people is the most depresing affair there is. People that can barely walk, in wheelchairs, twitching, barely able to speak or worse, so demented there is nothing inside their head. One of the guys i drive on the regular was the father of a guy i knew and it's pretty hard that he has lost it completely. He screams, prays, swears, prays more, sings... And to top it off, they only talk about who died or who is about to die.This is usually my day. I try to think about it as a learning experience or that i'm getting a lot of tolerance to this crap, but i know i won't last doing this for long.

I drove long haul at first for a few years until I bought my own truck. Then I got some dedicated routes near my house and it was much better, but after 5 years I got burned out and quit during the 2009 financial crash, which meant I would have had too quit anyways.

The insurance is steep (approximately $20k+ a year for a newby) and you do have too pay each state’s road tax that you drive through.Then if you have a truck and trailer payment every month it takes another bite.What makes it worth it is if you have a dedicated load that pays over $3/mile (2008 rate).

After all, he already warned me about every morning checking the tank cap (if someone stole your fuel), the engine (if someone stole the battery) and the exhaust (if someone stole the cathalitic converter).Diesel stealing is extremely common where i live so leaving your truck in the open is asking to getting your diesel siphoned. And you also have to pay toll on the main highways around here, so operating by yourself is pretty steep.Also there are fines and whatnot, but the average logistics company around here takes 10K in fines a year and still turns massive profits. As a self employed chump, they'll probably fleece you alive

Yeah, i got told in the US you can drive till you drop dead. Here, in your truck you have a special unique card that you put into a mini computer that is in every truck (and bus) and records your driving and rest time.By law, you can only drive 9 hours, 56 per week, 90 per two weeks. Of course, you can drive more, but then you will start getting fined. And if you fiddle with the machine or you don't have it, it's a 50K fine

Around here (Spain) you need to take a written exam, practical exam and then pass the Professional Aptitude Certificate in order to work as a truck driver. Curious that this is going in the US. Here in Europe used vehicles (specially big ones) are selling like hotcakes. So I knew all about her hang-ups and pitfalls and she of mine before we went on a single date. A lot of the filtering was done for us As we listen to each other, share our past and our hopes and dreams at recovery meetings. We've been together 6 years and married 2.Tldr:Focus on doing things that you enjoy and that improve yourself and you will naturally run into women that will be into those things too. And you will have a much better chance of a positive long term connection because of proximity and shared ideals.
