Does anyone have any youtube suggestions for creational electronic repair on laptops?I've been watching people like My Mate Vince, Joey Does Tech, and TronicsFix, but they focus more on things like PS5s and Nintendo Switches and such, only occasionally doing laptops, and having a really bad success rate when trying to fix them. Is there anyone who goes through fixing laptops and hopefully has more success?

@foone a lot of the good ones stopped making videos, sadly. Rossman is still going but his politics are shitty and that puts me off.I used to really enjoy KrisFix-Germany's GPU repairs (not laptops, but still really good content), but he hasn't posted in a year.

@foone i'm not sure what creational means in this context, but louis rossman's macbook repair videos are exceptionally usefulhttps://www.youtube.com/user/rossmanngroup

@foone https://www.youtube.com/@polymatt comes to mind, although he doesn't focus on the electronics part specifically

@foone Would, say, This Does Not Compute count? It's certainly not specifically laptop focused (maybe *mostly* Mac-focused if the channel has a focus on specific hardware) but there's plenty of laptop repair work. Are we talking like "little narrative, here's just a guy unscrewing things and not talking" or like "I want to know what the guy is doing and why". TDNC is more the latter.

@foone i like Psivewri because he goes through different computers, usually whatever he can get his hands on, and is very thorough with disassembly and cleaning, with the intent to yield working computers https://m.youtube.com/user/psivewri

@foone i80386sx works on a lot of 90s Compaq laptops and has an accent I find charming. it’s pretty far on the potatocam/DIY end of the spectrum but I found it really useful and inspiring when repairing similar machines
