Only a few people from Kiwi Farms are still here. Paypig is gone. No Agenda is mostly gone. That one Boomer Misskey instance that I can’t remember the name of is gone. We probably did lose thousands of people in the past few years just from instances dying.But nostr isn’t solving that problem bc it still sucks ass to use. You have to have at least 4 different apps to even use it. 2 clients (because they’re all broken in different ways) and 2 key managers. Btw the mobile key manager only works half of the time so good fucking luck. Soapbox itself just now sort of works with nostr, after… 2 years? Maybe 1 or 1 and a half, Idk. Too late for any of us to ever make fun of Revolver again.

It's such a weird mischaracterization of reality. There's never been a shortage of pleroma instances for people to freely sign up to, nor has there ever been some massive userbase-liquidating crisis. How many thousands of mastodon instances have been shut down over the past several years? How many of them have lost 90%+ of their active users by way of simple attrition and turned into hollowed out shells hosting mainly mutual aid beggar bots? This narrative is beyond laughable.

Kiwi Farmers left because they trust Jewsh as a defender of Internet freedom or some gay shit like that. There’s lots of reasons. What you’re saying is a good reason too though. I take long breaks in recent years just bc everyone is so annoying, even after the swatting shit stopped it was just aggravating seeing the same dumb bullshit every day.

There's an extremely limited range of interests represented here, if you're not an autistic touch-starved tech xir or terminally online gamer bro with a deep love for cartoon pornography you're pretty much on the periphery socially. The range of plausible interactions here is even smaller than it was on gab, where I could at least find like 30 people to chat about playoff baseball with. I'm not sure there are 30 people that care about any sport across the entirety of the fediverse.

All his users are still on defunct Rebased. OpenSats can’t give free money out to people who aren’t bringing in users forever forever.
