@interfluidity Why are the still stateless. They should have been given citizenship in the countries they moved to.What has happened to other refugees?

@railmeat they are stateless because they remained within the borders of the country that formed around the place where they lived. i agree they should be given citizen in the state of Israel. there would be much greater hope for peaceful coexistence if they were fully enfranchised citizens.

@interfluidity We should really throw an appreciation party for the people ordering military strikes and weapons deliveries, then it's all SURPRISE, no party just tons of tangled christmas lights. And they can't go home until it's all untangled and neatly packed in boxes. And when they finally do come home, nobody's gonna believe they can't do better than violence.

@interfluidity Gaza was Egypt and the West Bank was Jordan when the refugees went there. They should have those citizenships.

@railmeat That’d be great. But most of them were not born at that time. For almost 60 years they’ve been in territories under Israeli control, so they should have Israeli citizenship.

@interfluidity That is the point. They have been settled there for two or three generations. The generation that moved should have been given citizenship.
