Friends of the #BSDCafe,Mastodon 4.3 is just around the corner, and some interesting features have been implemented, like (optional) grouped notification.Should we upgrade as soon as it'll be out or wait?

@stefano Ad vocem. I’m wondering to fully migrate from #mastodon to #snac2. I use it (mastodon) with basic functionality so I won't notice the lack of additional capabilities to what snac2 offers.

@dziq I've seen the dev is working on the "move" action, so I hope the 2.60 will include this feature. This will be a game changer, as many small (or not so small) instances will be able to try snac2 without losing followers.

Yes, I plan to release #snac 2.60 this week (or the next one) with the capability of migrating from a snac account to a Mastodon one. The opposite operation (i.e. from Mastodon to snac) will probably happen in 2.61 or so.CC: @dziq@mammuthus.xyz

@stefano Agree. I have both mastodon and snac2 for my own. So it’s not a problem for me. The only thing holding me back is the lack of an app on the #iOS that fully supports the possibilities of #snac2.

Hi, snac author here. I have no access to any Apple hardware, but I've heard that an iOS app called Mona works well enough with snac.CC: @stefano@bsd.cafe

@grunfink @dziq this is a great, great news as I'm aware of some people wanting to migrate from other solutions to snac.Thank you!

@grunfink @stefano I know who You are ;). I’m grateful for your work. Yes #MonaApp works quite well with #snac2 but not all features works as expected. Eg. voting or looking for people to follow.

@dziq @grunfink @stefano #MonaApp needs to be subscribed to before it lets you post from the app. :(

@dharmik @dziq @grunfink @stefano 1. Mona has no subscriptions; 2. You can post for free.
