@pixel Yeah, I'm not touching that...I'm sticking with the @kde music player Amarok, which just got added to Flathub with a Qt 6 port coming soon (it's on Qt 5 at the moment afaik), so pretty much any distro with Flatpak support can run it. Plus, it's GPL licensed (so under a FOSS license like all of KDE's works) and better than Elisa (the main KDE music player) imo!

So far:* License was probably not lawyered, so it contradicts itself a lot, even though they probably meant "redistributions need to drop all branding and attachment to Winamp".which is fair* The source includes commercial or non-distributable libraries* SHOUTcast server side code is included in the repo (lol???)

@pixelGithub uses "fork" in a different way than basically anyone else. For example, fork doesn't even exist in git terminology, a github "fork" most closely corresponds to a git repository.

@mikoto @ttk it's kind of implied if it can't be disabled, they basically say in the ToS that you grant the right for your public code to be forked, you can't revoke that right with a license(I mean, you could, but not by hosting on GitHub)

Looking at the repo a day after now...or more or less half a day, I guess...i hate GitHub making stuff easily accessible, because even if they guy who maintains it did a lot of mishaps, the license sucks and doesn't really know git...that's not much of a reason to vandalise issues and PRs.

@pixel I'm late in the git party, though it seems they haven't actually cleaned things up yet… I'm not sure what parts can be actually considered "server" parts though… There is code for (part?) of the DSP client, and some HTTP API, but there doesn't seem to be actual parts of the server, or.. did I miss them? ;)
