New Triumph Speed Twin RS is coming, with features such as brakes as good as Kawasaki put on my bike 7 years ago. And a 1,200cc engine. What do they do with the extra ~250cc over my Kawi? Nothing, it's just there.There are four of these in the class. The BMW is too hipster, the Triumph is too expensive, the Yamaha is too ugly and none of them can outrun the Kawasaki. @Vulpes_Quartus It's hard to go wrong with the old Ninja 250. Same goes for the newer 300/400/500 successors and the matching Z bikes. The old Ninja 500 is great, too.Also cool are the Honda 500s that have been out for about ten years. Older stuff that's a good bet is about any Honda 450, the Kawasaki 454 bikes, 883 Sportsters, 865 Triumphs, although those get heavy.Those are just the ones I like. Bikes are so awesome you almost can't get a bad one made after 1980.

@Consoomer88 The 109 is a hell of a thing. Cool choice.I think the XSRs look weird. The CP3 engine in the 900 is something that makes me envious, but I can't get over the funny frames and headlights, weird stubby tails, decorative sheet aluminum with speed holes in it...I'll bet in 15 years I'll look back and say they're absolutely blazing hot. :pepe_spin:

@Vulpes_Quartus I rode my brother's Z400 yesterday and it blew me away all over again. Broadly the same thing as my Ninja 250, yet completely different in detail. It's not actually twice as powerful, but it feels like it. I assume the new 500s are even more full of grunt.I think just about any Z bike from any year must be great to have, and very American, too; Kawasaki introduced the Z specifically to impress us, originally.
