I'm having to drive 45 minutes and pay 260$ to talk to my psychiatrist to 5 minutes.I don't even need to talk to him! All I'm gonna say is "yep, I still have ADHD: please continue prescribing my meds".I don't think we need this meeting, he doesn't think we need this meeting, but the DEA does, to try and crack down on "illegitimate" ADHD med prescriptions.Bah.

@foone I've always found it lovely* how all of the strictures on the meds presently available to treat ADHD _are incredibly difficult to reliably navigate if you have ADHD_* I do not in fact find it lovely

@foone Then, you have to worry "does my pharmacy even have my fucking treatment in stock?"

@foone Mine's only a 25 minute drive but I 100% hate this. He's OK doing a telehealth appointment sometimes but needs to see me in-person on a regular basis to comply with the nonsense rules.

@NosirrahSec no joke, that's actually what we talked about.I'm on med Y, and I used to be on med X. But it was too hard to get at the pharmacy, so we switched to med Y which is less effective at treating my ADHD.

@foone Oh, that’s *bullshit*. At least I can do a telehealth checkup with my psychiatrist where I live… but my meds are still “no refills” by law, which means having the pharmacy fill a new prescription every goddamn month. 🤬And what’s truly infuriating is that laws like these do almost nothing to stop actual gray- and black-market ADHD meds, while being an extreme hassle for us with legit needs and prescriptions.

@foone @NosirrahSec Hell, I’m paying a $75/mo copay on the brand name for my med because the generic is absolute unobtanium

@foone Luxembourg: I only have to phone my neurologist to get a new prescription for my blood thinners.
