In the past month we got the unfortunate news that our Stripe account has been closedThis means a few donation methods are currently not available.. Currently I'm working on a few games for mobile (iOS & Android) that hopefully will bring in some revenue that can be used for the Masto bills in the future :cat_hug_triangle:

@stuxYou need to put a list of all you do up on this post plus verification routes for those who don't know/realise. Would help folks realise what you are responsible for creating/maintaining. Too easy to Masto without paying attention to the provider past first sign up.

@patricus and there’s where it gets a little gray haha!Dedicated severs? EOS? Other? What about anti-cheat /anti-bots and moderation plus the server costs :catblush: Trust me, I would LOVE to create an online game. And I think I can but there’s so much extra that’s peaking around the corner

@stux anti cheat on mobile is really unnecessary since ya can't really cheat on mobile,+ you could have admins who look up for reports and have fake accounts that catch cheaters.

hey @stux i went through a very similar instance last year with stripe: they emailed me to announce that my stripe account would be closed (giving no reason for it other than "security risk"), then changed their mind about four times over the course of a month. in the process, i learned that stripe also monetises neo-nazi, racist, hate groups, so when they finally decided that they would't cancel my account, i closed it anyway, myself. 😒😵💫
