@niamhgarvey @actuallyautistic @actuallyadhd I explain to new folk at work that the most common and important question I will ask them is "do you know where I left my tea cup?"Sometimes ill dramatically stop the whole kitchen and demand "can anyone see my tea??"It's nice because it makes people giggle and gives them an easy way to stack up brownie points and hear a grateful "yes, you're awesome, thank you."

@niamhgarvey I can relate to that 💜I have seriously considered bluetooth trackers for my coffee cup - sadly I have yet to find one which is would be compatible with dishwasher :-).

@niamhgarvey @oisin @tron @actuallyautistic @actuallyadhd Same! I'm constantly forgetting where I left my coffee, and then I'll find a random cup and drink from it thinking I just left it there a few minutes before, only to realize as I drink it that it is 3 days old.

@Cattz @niamhgarvey @actuallyautistic @actuallyadhd I lived most of my life in houses with cats.Last few years I've been away from cats, but cat-induced habits remain.Never leave food in the open, out of sight. Never leave the screen unlocked (that one is from the school computer lab era, but reinforced by keyboard cats for a long time after). Always check coaches and the like before flopping on them.

Every so often someone walks up to me (usually at work) and says "oh, we wear same colours today", which earns them a blank stare because I forget which headscarf I am wearing immediately after putting it on.

@clacke @catswhocode @niamhgarvey I found that the actual smartest place to put something is right down the first surface wherever I am, because if I want to put it "someplace I will remember", it's almost always out of the way and will never get found until the next full room rearranging event.... in a year or so.

My favorite is when I buy something that should have been in place X, like, this glasses case in this drawer should have sunglasses in it.So I buy new sunglasses, and of course when I want to put them in the place where the old ones were supposed to be ... the old ones are there.@webhat @catswhocode @niamhgarvey
