@stux It also makes no sense. Large companies would just divide themselvesnup into lots of small companies all owned by tbe same people. Woukd creat tons kf waste to avoid taxes and benefit no one.

@stux Well its an issue created solely by yournproposal. So you have tonsolve it now, not before we adoptmsomething that fixes nothing and juat adds a new problem.

@stux While you're small, you get the breaks you need to grow. When you've grown, you pay your fair share so that other startups get the same breaks as well. From those who receive much, much is expected.

@stux How is that a smaller issue? Youve turned companies intompaperwork nightmares for the government, didnt actually get any more taxes from thr big companies, in fact you lost money due to higher admin costs. In order to say that implementing this results in a smaller problem youd have to shownjt addresses at least part of tbr pronlem, when in fact this doesnt and simply introduces new problems

@freemo Well, this shows you don't see anything wrong with the current status of business so I cannot explain this to you 😉 There is a huge issue regarding the big corpo's and their way of evading taxes etc etcOfc it would be worth it since it would return so much more in time instead of the current bill to deal with this lol

@stux Big corpo's are international. They have effectively become their own nation states at the global negotiating table. We don't have a global system with which to tax them properly. It's then the job of the state to attract what the corps have to offer, and Ireland, for example, is doing quite well thanks to their terribly low corporate tax rate.Sure. Go for it. Best of luck.

@stux big corps should be taxed so that we can, in fact, send someone to the moon and back on the government dime rather than depending on capitalism to do it.

@stux Remember that under Dwight Eisenhower the marginal corporate tax rate was 90%. If you wanted a tax break, you had to reinvest back in the company, pay your employees, pay your shareholders or donate to charity otherwise it went to the government at the end of the year. Maybe that was a good idea?

@stux Let's not give big corpos yet another excuse to not pay a decent wage outside the C-suite.I'm in favor of a flat tax for business and individuals above the poverty line. I don't know if that's 10% or 15% or what, but it would simplify a lot of things and be fair for everyone. Your starting business only makes $10.00? Fine, you sill owe $1.00. You're doing well enough to earn $5B ? Great! We look forward to your $5M in taxes. It will help with that poverty line with any luck. Easy.
