@Emotenomics I was just reading about Baldwin IV, the "Leper King" of Jerusalem from 1174-1185.In those days, Christendom (now known as "the West") defended against Muslims, whose first major attack against Christians started with the Battle of Yarmuk in 636 AD. Baldwin defended against the Muslim leader Saladin despite his limbs being numb and going blind from leprosy. Some say the attacks against Christians stopped in 1453 with the fall of Constantinople (now Istanbul in modern Turkey). In reality, the US Navy was formed to fight Barbary pirates (Muslims) from the northern coast of Africa around 1790 rather than pay tribute in a conflict that continues on to this day.Of course, today our own "elected leaders" subvert 14 centuries of warfare and fighting off the Muslim hordes by just letting them in and locking up anyone who dares do something about it. Asymmetric warfare. It remains to be seen whether Christendom has a future, or whether the savages will inherit the earth.
