I used proper languages before I spent about 9 years as a #python dev, and I've only used proper languages since. Every time I have to dive back into a large Python codebase it's like somebody cut my fucking arms off.FFS, if it's impossible for my IDE to determine even if a particular attribute of an object *exists*, let alone where it's used, how the fuck are humans supposed to do that in any codebase that's larger than you can fit entirely in your brain at one time?

#python is for semi-trivial projects. It's what you rewrite your bash script in when it gets complicated enough that you find yourself having to lookup the array syntax in the man page. If it's more than a few thousand lines, though, you need a proper programming language.
