@jo It was not "removed a few hours later". It was painted by friends of mine in a prominent location in July 2017. I stayed in the city from late July to mid September and it was there the entire time I was in the city. It wasn't even vandalized or crossed out once in the 2 months I was there. It may have been covered at some point later, but claiming it was only up for hours is a lie

@RadicalGraffiti "Prominent location" 🤣🤣🤣. You certainly don't know the city very well.Anyway, this graffitti was totally shameful, done while Catalan pro-independence activists were being repressed and jailed by the Spanish Authorities. In the midst of this situation, some childish idiots decided to paint this stupid graffitti, comparing the red-starred estelada, used by Catalan left-wing pro-independence militants to the Spanish francoist flag, used by fascists. It was happily removed.

@jo I've visited Barcelona quite a few times. The graffiti was in a prominent location as far as graffiti spots go. It was high up in a very visible location, overlooking a busy park. The graffiti could be seen from a long distance away. What slogan was it covered with? A pro-independance slogan like:"Catalunya for the Catalans"Or "More Borders, More Nations".Or did you write "More Power to the Mossos"

@RadicalGraffiti What a moron you are. You may have visited Barcelona a few times as a tourist (and probably drunk too much sangría in la Rambla) but it's clear you know nothing about politics in Catalonia. You don't even know there are plenty of organisations, unions, collectives and so on that are socialist, clearly left-wing, feminists, in favour of migrant's rights, LGTBIQ+ rights...and, at the same time, pro-independence. Most of them...⬇️

@RadicalGraffiti Most of them are in good terms with the Catalan anarchist movement by the way, and I mean the real and totally respectful Catalan anarchists, I'm not talking here about your 17-year-old friends that paint stupid graffittis in their free time away from Tik-Tok dances.Next time you come around as a tourist, try to learn something about our history and our politics before you open your mouth again. That would be nice.

@jo You can cry all you want about not having Catalan border guards to prevent foreigners like me entering your imaginary "Països Catalans". I will probably visit Barcelona again, I have anarchist friends in the city I would like to see again. And no, I am much too old to have any teenage friends. There are fortunately still anarchists in that city that have not fallen victim to the nationalist hysteria that has gripped the minds of many of the leftists in that region.I will also make sure to cross out every single Estelada tag and sticker I see on the streets

@RadicalGraffiti Right, crossing estelades, the same thing fascists do. This should ring a couple of bells in your empty head but I realise now how fool you are. Congrats for your bravery. Why don't you cross graffittis in your own country and leave us alone? I mean, nobody needs stupid tourists behaving like idiots around here. In fact, Catalan borders doesn't look a bad idea if they can keep you out. We could put a sign with these words:"Refugees welcome / Moron tourists are not".

@jo Catalan Nazis wave the Estelada same as you. You can call for the creation of new borders, more restrictions on the free movement of people, but none of these things are radical and most certainly not anarchist.
