It’s been a year and a few months since we stood up our Mastodon instance. What an awesome experience this has been. Makes me appreciate the many instance admins out there in the fediverse. Kudos to everyone who has helped host and moderate their part of the fediverse over the years. The tech is the tool but you are the soul.

@mike Thank you all making this happen To take the monetization and data mining out of a public good makes us all a little richer. To do something because you love it starts with soul that knows how to use the tool. So glad it was a wonderful experience for you... beginnings of things can be so amazing. At this time of year, I always remember the first year at Burning Man.
