       @sickburnbro The original take made more sense. The stored equipment is an essential reserve and Russia was draining its stock too. In fact the new production tanks are something like 12-15%. So the main reason why we cannot reactivate is that we have no workers in Ohio anymore.

       @sickburnbro @union https://youtu.be/IsvUvIqBOAA tank are pretty resistant to the elements. being in a arid plain means that those tanks are near factory new. tracks are probably being stored in a warehouse so people can raid the place and drive off with tanks also because tracks are the first parts to rust

       @Groomschild @union I've watched plenty of "will this abandoned car start" videos, so I'm not surprised. But just like the cars, there is a difference between "I can hotwire things" and "I would call this as functional as the day it rolled off the line"

       @niobleoum Lol, all the factories that John Deere has moved to Mexico..but yes, I can believe that save for the barrel, most of the older gen Abrams are not too hard to build.

       @sickburnbro I forget how many M1A1 Abrams - the original model - they have stored.  Granted, have to get that turbine engine working - likely not as easy as starting an old car by priming the cylinders with some "marvel mystery oil" first.
