@ErikUden China, Russia, North Korea, Iran at least also block Xitter. India and France restrict it.I'm really looking forward to some European Union legal action to fine them a big chunk of annual turnover. And ban it, too.

@ErikUden my understanding previously was that they were filtering out Nazi stuff, for people in DEI guess by now they might not be in compliance with German anti Nazi laws, to put it mildly

@ErikUden Yes, left-wing politicians are destroying freedom of expression in our country, and any opposing voices or thoughts they say are hate speech and try to eliminate. X was the only network where people had freedom. I'm trying to develop a new network based on Web3 until I discover this one.

@ErikUden Aye, it happened over a difference of opinion because Twitter wasn't falling Brazil's local laws, it caused a dispute between the govt and Musk until it became a massive court issue. Twitter became banned due to not agreeing with the country's social media ruling.

@ErikUden I find such bans imposed by a capitalist state problematic, since a ban on the right-wing side will probably be followed by a ban on the left-wing side, for "balance". But the far-right will not be punished.For example, the ban of the right-extremist Compact magazine in Germany was lifted by court on doubts if its content is really against the law. @ErikUden that’s not the main reason it was banned. Firstly, Brazil’s constitution was re-written in the 80’s which made it unconstitutional and illegal to undermine democracy, promote fascism, racism, anti-lgbt and other hate which are considered crimes. So, we’re not a franchise of a 200 y/o American slave master written Constitution which a billionaire wants to use a a front for “free speech” because he doesn’t want to follow procedure in order to operate a business in Brazil and/or pay fines he’s accumulated. He just can’t be the apartheid masser he thinks he is in our Country. Of course there’s gonna be a lot of simps crying about it but, I’m glad Brazilian sovereignty and justice prevailed. Good thing is the EM boot lickers won’t be able to breed on this platform..
