@ErikUden can confirm after three buses zoomed by my partner and me near Amsterdam before a local rolled her eyes and came over and said in perfect English, "you must be a tourist, right?" She then proceeded to walk out two lanes into the highway to wave down the bus that was in the far left lane so that we could get on. #TrueStory

@ErikUden Depends. If you're at a central bus station like Amsterdam Sloterdijk, the bus will stop no matter what. But it can't hurt to wave and hold out your hands at a rural bus stop, no matter the country 😅
