       Can anyone explain to the value in a development playground for web development, my web browser is a development playground already.I have literally never understood why these exist outside of documentations that need demos

       @BrodieOnLinux Site's act differently in different browsers, not all browsers are available on all platforms. Mobile and desktop display differently, different mobile OS's browsers display sites differently. etc etc

       @BrodieOnLinux It's faster to open one of these sites and start coding than opening a text editor, creating multiple files (HTML, JS, CSS), writing the code, saving them, switching to a web browser, testing it, and going back to iterate. It's also easier to share a link than files.

       @BrodieOnLinux it makes it really easy to share a demo that shows both the code and the result. A lot of #RustLang bug reports have a link to a reproducer in the rust playground for exemple.

       @BrodieOnLinux it's a javascript runtime, but not an editor. There are time you want to write and share a little snippet of code, but don't want to bother setting up a bit repo and website to show it to some other people.
