Why does everyone in the fucking world have to be a gamer, therefore it's expected of me? I can't handle playing most games as they usually stress me out to no end. Games were taken away at a young age so I can't relate. This also means that I'm outside of the "outsiders" in that respect. I play Rummy well but no one plays it. I feel like I have so much more going on as a person but people are really game focused. It's frustrating and demoralizing.Sorry for the rant, I'm just exhausted.

@Prof_Trixie I always loved video games growing up and still have a huge collection of retro stuff but rarely play any of it. Now im more focused on playing life games hehe :jrbd: I know what you mean about people though. Fucking human collectivists always trying to push what THEY enjoy on other people as if we dont have minds and interests as individuals. Thats ok though, people like you and me are PRODUCERS, they are the consumers.

@Prof_Trixie I. I caught a segment on NPR this morning where some big cheese video game person was talking about their new breakthrough game. I’m a former software engineer, and back in the 90’s I worked at a video game company. It soon folded after I and numerous others got laid off. But, I never got into video games. Never. Real pinball, I love. So I listened to this thinking, what a waste of time. I much prefer reality to general video depictions of brutality. You should be proud.

@Prof_Trixie I am old. We had to type in our games then run them. I liked writing more than playing. Always seemed like a waste of time when I could be writing hardware drivers. I'm with you.

@Homoevolutis1 @Prof_Trixie I enjoyed the early Sierra games… and faded out in the doom/quake timelines… I do enjoy Animal Crossing occasionally because it has no pressure to me.
