Bluesky has shareable feeds and I'd love to see this on the fediverse as well. It's pretty much the 'multiple channels per person' idea I had but better because they're more flexible in scope.

You could spin up a service like this already. Just let people define a feed via a web UI like in that link, and serve it as an actor whose timeline is the aggregated post list.

@volpeon I literally have a feed just for Incineroar art lmao. https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:6x3sa4qcuhtc4yky2f6eu2ki/feed/aaakohvos2x5oThe only thing I worry about is Skyfeed shutting down suddenly, and maybe Bluesky should roll its feed creation features into their own infrastructure. Other than that though, the feeds have been really cool.

When subscribed to, they show up as additional timelines in the app.On fedi, we have feeds as well, but they're something you create for yourself. At best, you can share a link so others can view the feed on your instance, but that isn't federated and makes for a mediocre UX.The cool thing about this feature is that I could create feeds for specific interests or content, such as my art. This is impossible on here unless I use a dedicated account for each of them.

@volpeon@is-a.wyvern.rip @sun@shitposter.world @desea@akko.cuddlegirls.cafe i've considered doing something similar in the form of collections (a sort of separate timeline you can sort your own posts into or boost others posts into, that if made public would allow anyone to follow them) seems like a similar idea just manually curated instead of being a filter on the global timelinealso would want to do something somewhat similar but with features to allow others to contribute, like misskey channels but federatedwill this ever happen? considering the development speed of my server probably not
