@dustinfinn in what way? My basic understanding is that there isn't enough bandwidth to support the number of users people imagine using meshtastic...

@PopeASDF @bobdobberson It's just not functional even in the woods for these smaller lower power devices to connect to one another. so it goes back to requiring some larger infrastructure. Who will build that?People are guerilla magnet mounting solar nodes to things and strapping them illegally to poles to gain mesh coverage - but WTF - if I cant get 915Mhz to work between teo devices in a lightly wooded flat area - then its doomed to do anything meaningful....So I see it as a way to 1 - Ham radio youtube poeple ot get views. 2. instagram people to get likes and attention 3. lora/Meshtastic manufactures to make massive cash on small devices... but the end user? holding the total shit bag.
