@verita84_2024 well yeah any modern device in an undervolt condition will attempt to step down. I think in this case the CPU was starved for power. in the bios it was displaying as E3-1230v3 which should be 3.3-3.5 boost GHz but running was only 800mhz. i thoutgh it was the board at first but suggested a PSU swap and its mint now. crazy that it was able to operate all this time without much issue with a failing PSU

@graf @verita84_2024 This story might make you laugh. One time I was told to report to work during the middle of a state emergency from a natural disaster. The only outlets in the entire building that kind of worked were in the office kitchen (undervolt and brownouts). I was told to drag an entire desktop setup and plug into the refrigerator outlets.Got paid 2.5 times my hourly rate to watch the computer attempt to boot up every 30 seconds for 16 hours straight.

@LordOfTheKangs @verita84_2024 i never had access to or interest in having access to hundreds of servers at any given time. now that poast has that in its stock i regularly run into hardware problems because, at that scale of course you do. so it's always fun when the remote hands are white guys and understand you're not fucking retarded and do what you ask them to
