       I don't know who did the mics, but they have the speakers and crowd on totally separate channels. Which is useful so you can hear what they are saying. But also the kind of thing one would do if paranoid about protests.It was noticeable in some videos where they didn't add the crowd background back in. Technology?(I have deeply mixed feelings about protests. I'd be horrified if there were none but I'm paranoid about them being exploited, or used to undermine)

       I trust that people are smart. Hopefully they can see any creeps and posers coming a long way off and waste their time for days and days while giving them nothing. "Let us show you the secret place where we have all the good stuff... then send them to a random address scavenger hunt."

       @futurebird I simultaneously support the protestors, and hope that disruptions remain at a minimum. And, I feel that way because I support Palestinians...if Trump wins, things are very likely to get a lot worse. I hate that it's come down to this, given Democrats continued funding of genocide, but Trump will absolutely not be a moderating influence on Bibi and the right wing nuts in Israel. There are no good guys, but there are worse guys.

       @futurebird @riley I did some work once for a company that supplied sound processing to several major phone manufacturers. There were some pretty neat algorithms in there, and that was 10 years ago.

       @futurebird I got the impression that they were masking the crowd when the chants ("Thank you Joe") were causing the speakers to pause for too long. There's no way a crowd that size would stop on cue, even if they knew they were supposed to.Then there was AP's stream on YouTube, that froze during Nancy Pelosi's speech, then returned with no audio at all…
