Lemmy devs hardcoding blocklists into their software left a sour taste in my mouth, not sure if they still do that.

All network traffic goes through it and is sent to a proprietary backend for analysis. If any "bad" instance is detected it is immediately distributed to all the endpoints where the kernel driver software will alter the instance config in order to block it (it has full access to storage ofc) and block it on a network level just in case. It also has a full read/write access to the instance db so it can DELETE all posts, users etc. from that instance.Both the endpoint software and the proprietary backend are written in .NET, backend of course runs on Azure and uses SQL Server db. And don't forget to somehow integrate ChatGPT
