Samus even as the protagonist is going to be judged for her marital and maternal value in a contest where men are the primary judges. Would women do the reverse? To some extent probably. But this side of the fedi is overwhelmingly male so any vidya guy tournament contender is primarily going to be judged by more ideological, moral, story, and skill that they posses or fit within than as husbando material. I'm half tempted to run one myself, it would be a lot less contentious I believe.
