Personally I'm getting tired of the endless AI generated stuff on the web and that while it's probably just begunI just can't appreciate it, knowning that it's just a simple text prompt that ends up in a copyNot even talking about a star's worth of enegery that's been wasted while we still burn coal and oil to get energyHumans have such weird "goals" :think_bread:

@stux You're right Stux. Humans are weird creatures. AI for one. Then one would say, there is no room or reason to go on holidays by plane. Yet ever so many people step on board all these ever bigger planes.And ships. Cruise ships. Complete cities bobbing up and down the ocean waves. It's outrageous.

@stuxAn online writer I follow has started illustrating his articles using AI. While the images accurately depict what's in the articles, they all have an obvious phoniness which is unappealing.

@stux I have a feeling we've seen nothing yet. It's all become a math equation. Let's bring John Wayne back as the starring role for this latest drama. An alternate take on x y z in the style of C for a wide audience beyond the age of 12? Or hell, someone that has John Wayne like features but with the stature of Bono and a Tony Bennet like delivery with a pitch deflection of -2.

@stux There is no way back. 100 years ago, we were quite far away from any of this. Humans are not evolving as fast as the tech they get. Also, we do not consume a lot of energy, compared to what would be available. The stupid part is that we burn fossiles, while sitting on pure hot magma, with a dynamo at its core, which is next to a gigantic fusion reactor that sends pure energy. We need to overcome lobbyism though, to be able to evolve faster, imho.
