I have never before seen the sheer number of people as I do today, who will not call, email, or otherwise respond to communications in any normal capacity.Something seems to have changed. People don't even fake the etiquette they were never actually taught in this generation, anymore. And this covers all socioeconomic groups. Rich, poor, business, farmers, residential, all of it. People seem to not-give-a-care-to-have-a-relationship.Anyone else see this?

@commandlinekid Without question. One highlight has been a series of emails from a client. Contracted with a large college. Household name, nationally. Our point of contact sent emails riddled with typos and grammar equivalent to a second week ESL student. The position of that liaison? Director of Communications.

@ghast Yes there is that problem too.I have to "check myself" to make sure what I've complained about was actually the case and not just "stupid America," but I believe something has changed. "Professionals" are the least professional people I know.

@commandlinekid Yes, there's a couple tiers to the communication issue. Parents don't teach their kids how to write a letter. Colleges are more concerned with indoctrination than education."Professionals" are often insulated from their failures, and mostly have dummies interacting with them anyway. They seldom get a real critique, suffer a consequence, or care.
