@stux Your general point notwithstanding... I doubt the size of that truck had much to do with him not seeing the container that was taller than his window line, and more to do with him being distracted driving on a wide, otherwise empty street.Also, he's towing quite a bit of lumber. Unlike most truck owners in the US, this guy seems like he actually uses his for truck stuff.

@stux That had to be more than the monster truck. If he had been looking ahead on the road, he still would've seen it. I suspect he was distracted by something (phone?) before looking up and not seeing it because of the lack of visibility. You know those rear camera they have on cars? They really need one for the forward view on those.

@stux It looks like the bin might have rolled into the street. In the US, that's a "100% driver at fault" collision. If that had been a human standing there.. driver gets off Scott free. Because pedestrians are expected to run away. Or, if the pedestrian is 4 or 89 years old, then their guardian should keep them away.But if the same guardian allowed their *trash bin* to stand in the road... Driver is at fault.We need to quit penalizing drivers less for hitting humans than trash bins.
