@jerry @drwho do either of you have contacts in digital forensics that know how to read these video files? I could provide one if anyone wants to take a crack at it. It's some weird multi-h264 stream in a single file. You can extract key frames with ffmpeg but that's about all I can do with it right nowRT: https://bikeshed.party/objects/07176e1d-839b-4214-bf1f-8abade6a1899

@feld I'd say put one up. I'm no expert but am glad to take a peek. Maybe you'll get lucky.@jerry @drwho

@feld I think Handbrake can extract the individual tracks from those files

@feld unbelievable that they don't even provide a way to get at your own data.

@keen456 @feld @drwho @jerry @hacks4pancakes @ashley security systems often make proprietary formats. We had a few in our archive with the extension LNR, which was similar. If we can see a sample, might find a solution, but using their software is usually the best. https://digitalwatchdog.happyfox.com/kb/article/383-converting-ssf-to-avi-using-backupviewer/

@feld Let me know if it works out. Your sample files are different than what others have reported. They don't have the header "STL Stream Format". https://stackoverflow.com/questions/21674905/how-to-view-a-ssf-file-cctv-video-footage-on-a-mac
