@historyofpunkrock The NY Dolls provided a lot of inspiration for other early punk bands. I was listening to the Fresh Air podcast recently, and the NY Dolls sound reminded me of the Sex Pistols, which came later.

@historyofpunkrock I'd think both the Dolls and Stooges to a fairly equal degree. Both continued to have big impacts on punks who discovered them later.
