@ernie Just use the webpage. It's annoying, and customer-hostile, but this isn't the first time a site has made certain payment methods available via the web and just the Apple method (or no payment method) available via the app. The only surprising thing is that Patreon set it up this way from the get-go.

@rushputin I’m not worried about myself. I am aware of this already. Rather, I’m worried about existing subscribers that paid using this method, and may have been doing so for years.

@ernie I feel like this is something to be mad at apple about, not at patreon. Also it said in the mail that people with existing subscriptions (even on ios) won't be affected.I do understand looking for alternatives, but I can't see how another service would work around this tbh. P.S. “Just use the web” isn't helpful advice for publishers in this situation. Patreon has been around for nearly a decade. A lot of users have been committed to this model for a long time.

@jowan They chose to favor this platform when they did not have to and it is forcing them to change their entire service.Apple is at fault, but Patreon put its users in this situation by building on unstable ground.
