Doing some additional COSMIC testing and I have confirmed that COSMIC is excessively writing to the drive whenever changing a setting, using an SSD masks the problem avoiding the desktop locking up but it doesn't stop the writes happeningOn a HDD the problem really presents itself as shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoyzaLW52NoYes the bug is reported, alpha software will be alpha software

@BrodieOnLinux probably a good thing you only have a hard drive then or this might've down under the radar! I did notice some slowness but that is bad

@MyBeansAreBaked KDEs problem also flew under the radar because of everybody using an SSD, maybe I need to go run GNOME on this machine as well lol

@BrodieOnLinux Feels like someone used `.dumps()` instead of applying the difference with `.seek()`.

@BrodieOnLinux @MyBeansAreBaked You need to go ditch the HDD, Brodie, c'mon, it's 2024 already. But of course, they should fix this. It could also be a problem for eMMC, SD cards, and even slow SSDs.
