Louise Lancaster: 4 years imprisonment for helping to cause traffic delays on the M25 by renting a house and buying climbing equipment. James Nelson:2 months imprisonment for smashing up 2 police vehicles and being “involved in the appalling and shameful violent disorder that impacted not just the national community, but in particular the Bolton community”https://mastodon.online/@Geri/112919419079445049

…I had the misfortune to drive on the M25 twice in June. Both times there were massive and extended traffic delays which added an hour to my journey each time. The delay was caused by me and several thousand others. I have also rented houses and bought stuff from Millets. I suppose that proportionately I should have something like a 1-day prison sentence

@urlyman The little scrote pleaded guilty at the first opportunity at magistrates' court, & 18 year olds tend to get treated more leniently than other adults, despite being, you know, adults. Meanwhile Lousie Lancaster is 58 & was found guilty at Crown Court, both last month and in April for similar antics. Her initial sentence was 16 weeks, suspended for 18 months, plus a fine & 100 hours community work. But combined with her repeat offending, this means she now has a full-on jail term.

@urlyman And if you could be bothered to research further:https://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/local-news/cambridge-protestor-who-part-group-29033504It's almost as she got what a repeat offender gets. Funny thing, that.

@alexanderhay your article is from 109 days ago. The one I found is from 20 days ago. In the absence of any other inside information I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that the more recent one supercedes the earlier one. If you have verifiably superior info that I don’t I’m quite willing to update my post. Though it’d be great if you didn’t drop snide insults into the mix

@urlyman So, you admit to not doing enough research, and barking up the wrong tree? Sounds a lot like some far right 'protesters' doing the rounds right now.And by definition, repeat offenders are going to get fucked by the courts, especially if they've been found guilty by a jury twice in a row.

@alexanderhay why is your article that is over 3 months old more authoritative than the BBC one less than a month old?

@urlyman Why are you arguing the toss, having been proven to be wrong?

@alexanderhay well, if the BBC one derives from judgments and sentencing made later that’s pertinent no?

@alexanderhay here’s another one from just 15 days ago. It refers to a trial at Southwark Crown Court https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cz9xr4q3rk6oYour article seems to be about an earlier trial at Reading Crown Court. These are *different* trials with different sentencing.
