@LostInCalifornia @ninapaley Anti-inflammatories and Ice packs help too, so does Witch hazel. If you have any available, a little lavender oil diluted and rubbed into the affected area is good for all kinds of stings, bug bites.

@Flick @LostInCalifornia How would I measure rate of spread?It's slowly puffing up the back of my hand and the front. Not the whole hand yet, just the part adjacent to the finger. But it's painful.

@ninapaley @LostInCalifornia Yes, try to get them as similar as you can in terms of positioning. You poor thing, it looks very painful. Have you taken some Advil? Are you ok otherwise? No trouble breathing, rashes, dizziness etc?

@ninapaley @Flick @LostInCalifornia draw with a biro around the edge of swelling as is. You can then see if it improves or gets worse. I hope it gets better soon. I have a swelling on my eye at the moment. I think some bug got me - but it's 2 nights ago now, so I really sympathise!

@LostInCalifornia @FarmKat @ninapaley Western Dr's prescribe Arnica for post surgical swelling. I can attest personally it works. It's in in the homeopathy aisle of natural grocers but comes in topical also
