@selea Almost too good to be true 😂 I ditched Fedora Silverblue and went all in on openSUSE microOS after 6 months of evaluation, still loving Debian though..

@martenbjorklund I still run Fedora on my Thinkpad, but after 6-7 month with Tumbleweed on my desktop, I am starting to think to move over to it too on the laptop.Debian on any headless systems for me, it is not leaving my environments anytime soon

@selea Aeon (Gnome) / Kalpa (KDE) is basically Tumbleweed but with read-only ("immutable" fs) it's extremely good..I guess you already know all this but we might have lurkers 😆 +1 for Debian on really critical stuff

@martenbjorklund I did not know that actually, I dont run immutable yet. However, I am thinking about trying it on some machines that have data that I value very very much.

@selea Be sure to come to terms with your applications being either Flatpak or AppImages before switching, depending on your needs this is a good or bad thing 🙂 Also SELinux is tuned for maximum security which can create trouble sometimes, you can of course adjust it for your needs aswell.

@martenbjorklund AppImages is something that I hate tbh, :(Flatpak have potential, I just disagree with how some packages are packaged. For example - The Goto Element package did not have proper filesystem access to ~, causing it to be a pain to guide familymembers to use.

@selea Do you know about Flatseal? https://flathub.org/apps/com.github.tchx84.FlatsealIt gives you a nice GUI to manage permissions of Flatpaks 🙂

@martenbjorklund I do :) But I think it is kinda dumb that you need a third-party application in order to make applications work as they should. It is not really welcoming for new users. And blaming some restrictions on "security" is not ideal.

@mcepl This issue seems GRUB-related? I did encounter this particular issue a few weeks back, so I actually moved the grub-installation to another drive
