Class parking in Polwarth today, right across the entire pavement, forcing pedestrians onto the road when they can't possibly see if a vehicle is coming. These wankshafts have been doing this almost daily, somehow parking wardens never seem to book them. Have reported several times on council site which promises action, yet it continues with impunity. Told driver one day he was endangering people, he replied he "didn't care". Infuriating

@LordWoolamaloo that's actually a police matter, because it's a dangerous obstruction. Does your local police force allow you to report motoring offenses online? If not you could try reporting via 101. Of course, whether they'll bother doing anything is another matter, but good luck.

@LordWoolamaloo Are there no freakin' tow trucks? Around here, that truck would be impounded and ticketed for creating danger to people. The impoundment release is super expensive and can't happen until the ticket is paid.Make it hurt those asshole's wallets. Damn!

@linuxlucy police will do sod all. Council traffic wardens can book it here, they patrol the area, have reported it on their site several times but somehow they aren't getting him ticketed, infuriating

@LordWoolamaloo @cstross the little pin in a Schrader valve can be quickly removed with a pair of needle nose pliers. Not permanently damaging as compared to slashing a tire, but just as inconvenient for the driver. One might also "donate" any number of stickers to such a vehicle.

@LordWoolamaloo Adding an extra wheel weight to one of the rear wheels is fun. Not immediately obvious, but good luck getting over 45mph without the vehicle trying to shake itself to bits.A nice bead of super glue under the windscreen wipers may also get the message across. Or shoe polish over them.Something less damaging: a nice fresh but firm dog turd under the door handle may serve as a clue.I mean, don't try these for legal reasons. Just ... be creative.

@LordWoolamaloo If the driver is giving backhanders to the cops, or the shop owner is doing that, then I would suggest getting a local reporter involved. Don't wait until someone gets run over.
