@geordie You’re not interested in being pestered every other day to try the new outlook and having all your emails from other services schlurpped over to o365 for their assistant to end all assistants Cortana -puts finger up to ear- Copilot to learn from?

@bastardsheep my email's already in 365 but just the ability to have tabs in email, and the colour tagging stuff is neat. And I fucking hate "Focused Inbox"

@geordie Still some work needed to interop with Office365. My preferred client for IMAP.

@geordie congrats. If you find the need to custom-edit emails (e.g. remove styles added by Outlook etc.) I recommend the HTML Source Editor extension:https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-GB/thunderbird/addon/html-source-editor/If you receive emails from Outlook with winmail.dat and need to decode them, there's a LookOut extension:https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-GB/thunderbird/addon/lookout-fix-version/

@geordie I once asked a Magic 8 Ball toy what it thought about email clients. It responded "Outlook not so good."

@geordie outlooks not all bad. It can sort by subject at least.

@geordie Email apps have been around for a long time now. Are there really any new features/random stuff that would significantly motivate God to switch to something else? 🙂 AI?

@rwinj2000 the lack of those features is what I like. It’s just my mail. Quickly. Organised.

@geordie I like the changes, especially native support for Exchange, but wow it is slow. Really hope they work on performance to make the new UX great

@Offbeatmammal it’s very fast for me but I am on a brand new gaming Goliath that just laughs at system demands.

@geordie ah, that might be a difference. Older regular PC (noticeably slower than Outlook even after giving it a couple of days to settle down and index things)

@geordie I've used it for years instead of Outlook, on both Linux and macros systems. Way better. Even has full exchange support with calendar if you pay $5/year for the Owl addon!

@geordie Can you not turn off focused inbox in new outlook? I'm still on old outlook for work, and don't use it at all for anything else. The short time I did try out focused inbox I found it did what all "smart" sorting systems do. Hid the most critical and important things to me and everything else was just scattered randomly with no rhyme nor reason.Dodn't focus at all, just made me more likely to miss things.
