@heyokyay Funny, I was sort of the opposite. I remember being 15 or so and thinking how sick I was of how immature my peers were. Now I'm ... uhm, older, and I still am sick of how immature my peers are.

@heyokyay It is my opinion, coming from lived and observed experience, that you don't become adult by waiting, but by learning more and more about the world, and then applying it forward oneway or the another.People who "feel" on the inside as being 16 (or 18 or 20) tend to be those who never challenged themselves after leaving high school. The people who "feel" their age are those who kept challenging themselves, and felt themselves grow mentally.

@heyokyay It’s the opposite for me. I remember thinking the day after turning nine, though not in these exact words, “fuсk, I still have a whole ‘nother lifetime to go before I can legally GTFO”.

@heyokyay I’m starting to suspect that finally, as I look forward to collecting my social security pay, that I might actually be grown up. Almost.

@heyokyay you know that’s why adults always ask children what they wanna be when they grow up, they are looking for new ideas.
