So there is this guy who realized it's possible to beat (vanilla!) minecraft in a world with just one dirt block provided you are in a snow biome. What follows is a trial of exploits, and obscure game quirks... he's still at it. It will take many more months. I find it *fascinating* and anyone who loves game optimization and knows a little about the game will too.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFG4TQdOYtU

@futurebird fun, I'm adding it to my watchlist. I love videos that take something kind of boring sounding but make it interesting. Another video like that, which happens to involve Minecraft, is this mathematician proving (as best as he can) that Dream faked his Minecraft speedruns. https://youtu.be/8Ko3TdPy0TU?si=qTsWF_ZKr9kVF2UV

@futurebird I never understood how people have the patience (or time for that matter) to play Minecraft these various crazy ways. Heck, I can't even do the stuff that is considered ordinary like building gigantic 1:1 sized castles.Call me boring. I just dig down into the ground, hollow out huge areas, fill them with light so nothing spawns, grow all my trees and crops underground, and drag in some chickens or other animals (mostly I need the feathers.) Only tricky part on the last bit is you ideally need grass which often needs essentially a cheaty way of getting or you have to do some really crazy stuff (digging a dirt stairway to grass and letting it *slowly* propagate over time, then closing it off.)I feel comfy in my warm monster free home though.

@nazokiyoubinbou That's why I'm calling this performance art... this has gone beyond speed running and optimizing... it's something else... it's a little bit like math... but also like a prayer wheel that keeps spinning on an lonely mountainside so that the prayers are sent to the gods forever.
