I think we should classify cats as "cartilaginous beasts" (of land with fur) they are just so ... rubbery. There is something convergent in the "vibe" of the sharks and and cats IMO. Some hidden deep affinity.

@futurebird He feels a lot like a shaggy rug — the kind that was popular back in the '80s.That said, during malting season, he can easily shed a ball of fluff that's bigger than him. So I really wouldn't want to rule out that he's made of some form of celestial dark matter that doesn't obey the laws of thermodynamics...
