Just in general this kind of assistance is reserved for refugees, and normal immigrants are expected to be able to support themselves.2. build the wall, etc.And then as1. (nothing)But that's my expectations. Taking Trump more at his word, he'll expand ICE and have them scouring the country for illegal immigrants and shipping them off to their home countries, probably starting with the ones Biden is currently paying.I have mixed feelings about that, but I'd say that this is only a nightmare if1. you think that America is a paradise and that the rest of the world is hell. I don't don't think that at all. I think America is has a pretty bad near-future course set for it, not helped at all by how massively propagandized the population is. My main emotional response to people coming into the country illegal is a form of pity - I don't think it's a good decision to come here.2. you assume that ICE will roam around like stormtroopers, gun down families and the family dog, recklessly break up families, etc. I think skepticism for government agencies is always a good idea, and there will definitely be scandals and you might do some good by focusing on this, but there's not going to be comic brutality. You can also help by encouraging responsible behavior here, like not having local governments raise the temperature by refusing to cooperate with ICE even with violent repeat criminals.

@Red_Shirt_no2 my chief contention is that Trump doesn't say that he wants to end elections.But sure, I also think it's crazy to think he we wants that, because to want to "end elections" you have to expressly want some other political system, and Trump is not serious enough of a person to want such a thing. He's a salesman, he's a deal maker, he's a celebrity. That's his self-image and that's how he behaves, even to what he lies about and how he lies about it. A manipulative politician goes around spreading malicious lies like that his opponent "wants to end democracy", weaponizes the courts to make that opponent a felon for his lawyer's paperwork, constantly goes in front of cameras to demonize his opponent's supporters. Trump, instead of saying "10 million", will say "10 billion" and get fact-checked. In one of his debates with Biden in 2020 there's a moment where he pauses and clearly decides to inflate a number.The cynical fact check on Trump wanting more security is that his concern was for the safety of his supporters. The National Guard that he asked for would've still been present to stop any planned insurrection, though.Of course in the thread we have people speculating that Trump only didn't stay in power because he had insufficient control over the military. Such people would easily think that a guy who inflates numbers was intending to use the national guard to commit an insurrection. Again, I'd be happy if these people at least believed that the unwitting trespassers DIDN'T commit one. It's easier to discuss speculation than hallucinations of facts.

Making a very cheap product, that was a little different than the standard and using ads to sell it at a tremendous mark up. I the profit margins were huge even with it being finished in the USA (the pillows were made in China, but the cases and labels put on in the US... good enough?
