@ck0 The automated anti-abuse systems don't log, but we do check if servers are behaving abnormally. For instance, if you use Proton VPN's network in order to launch or disguise a DDoS attack on a third party website, we will shut that down as we don't allow Proton VPN to be used as an offensive tool to attack other sites.

@TeflonTrout There seems to be a misunderstanding - no user data is used to train any AI, and AI is not integrated in our products. The Proton Scribe AI assistant can be integrated in Proton Mail only at the request of the users themselves. It also doesn't store any user information - it can only read prompts provided by the user directly, and once they are processed they are deleted along with the content it has generated.

@protonprivacy @TeflonTrout You seem to be a bit hard of hearing regarding the fact that at least a minority of your users find cryptocurrency and so-called AI offensive, since it is so scammer-adjacent these days.This looses you trust. And the only way to retain or recover it, is not cosying up to "AI" or "crypto" but keep a clear distance.It's largely a question of ethics and you getting tainted by too close association.

@failedLyndonLaRouchite Hi there Proton Scribe is opt-in. It doesn't do anything unless you first choose local vs server-side and then enter a prompt.
