Since I'm out sick I decided to finally cave and try out Zenless Zone Zerocurrent thoughts after chapter 1: disappointeddisappointed that this has to be a gacha/live service game, I'd pay money to play this otherwise.

the production quality of this game is so good, and the fights are enjoyable/satisfying too?And the UI is so freaking good, I love the aesthetics so muchIt's a really good game, and for now I can ignore the gacha parts (as it seems) but it still leaves a bit of a bad feeling.

@pixel as long as you avoid the weekly content (hollow zero, shiyu defense, etc) you definitely can, the story is always designed to be beatable with extremely little investment if you want to play those modes too, you'll probably have to engage with some of the gacha parts (the material grinding, specifically) but you can most likely still avoid the banners :neofox_up_paws:

@starshine I mean, just hearing that is a massive turn off for me already.the existence of all these systems just drags down my experience in general.game can be as good as it wants to be, extensive money spending that is somewhat shoved into your face sucks regardless.

@starshine if they make the fights more than just single-button mashing, they could pretty much just slap a $60 price tag on this.

@pixel honestly they could slap a $60 price tag on any of their games, with yearly expansions each costing $60 as well, and we'd buy all of themthough i do wonder if even *that* would be enough to pay for all the full orchestras and thousands upon thousands of artists and developers they hire,,,

@starshine well, before the entire live service-shtick companies still found their ways to fund incredibly large gamesso it's possible
