       @aral @grrlscientist That alt text will not exactly help the visually impaired .An important function of alt texts are to make it possible for the browser to read it aloud.

       @PeterHald @grrlscientist The screen reader (not the browser) will read the content of the post. The alt text informs the person that there isn’t anything else in the image other than the additional information provided in the alt text itself.
