When I was younger, my parents gave my brothers and me the "be safe on internet talk" with things like:- Never share your real name/address/etc- Do not meet people AFK- If youre not sure, ask- Dont download everything- Never give other ppl your online credentialsI really hope this is still done today but I have a feeling it's becoming less and less 😟 ----"Roblox’s Predator Problem"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DD6cac64fc4#Roblox

@stux when i was young there was no internet, when my children were young, it just started a little bit. For now i would find it very difficult to guide children. I think the instructions of your parents are still good to follow.

@stux 100%. My kids are 8-12 & their internet use is still VERY limited & supervised and boy oh boy is this not the norm. Most of their friends have no limits or supervision and even have cellphones already. 😬

@stux I knew I did it right when my daughter wanted to send a picture of herself to a friend she met online and said "you could be a 60-year-old guy"... They swapped pictures with their faces scratched out and my daughter had it as her phone lock screen (scratches included). It was all fine. Testing the waters carefully. I felt so accomplished as a parent

@stux We were told never to speak to strangers, get in strange cars or give out our numbers and now we literally call them up to come and get us.

@stux It's the reasonable and logical way to be, but that's not being fed to the brains of people, especially the younger generation of today.It's evident in what happens in the news with the young, even evident with the recent tech outage. The computer outages were preventable just like many other things.
