       People have a lot of nerve. Posting 1:34:00 min long videos on youTube where they are just talking about something without a script or plan or anything. I need to write a filter that just prevents long videos from even showing up. Unless I'm making a big commitment I don't want to watch anything that long just... randomly.

       @futurebird A lack of script may be compensated by editing after the fact.  A thing that I know a 90-minute video on YT has not done.

       @futurebird This is attention capture, and I believe it is/was an intentional way for some people to capitalize on YouTube. I don't look at YT much anymore, but I remember some channels I was subbed to would release a 90m video and after a couple of weeks they'd stuff ad breaks every few min.

       @futurebird Ran across a 17 minute video on a topic of interest. 5:30 into it, still hadn't mentioned alleged subject. I was gone by 5:45.But worse than that: videos by the illiterate who are actually clueless on the topic. "Here's how I check fer power. I sticks a fork in the elektrikle soccet thingie and wiggle it some ...".Having real expertise in a topic is not a requirement; just having a camera and a microphone is all you need.

       @leadore I mean... I guess that counts too... but I don't think my post conveys the extra harm and psychic damage that comes with that one. Can something be boring AND a nightmare at the same time?Can one be horrified AND desperate for the release of death just to escape the monotony?
