If you've followed me for any time you'd know I'm not a huge Biden fan. (Although, months ago I decided that complaining about him was pointless, eg. let's just be pragmatic about the election.) In 2020 he was my LAST choice.His domestic policy surprised me. It was better than I thought it would be. His foreign policy broke my heart and horrified me. So, I find it odd that it's sad to see him go.You get to see real leadership every now and then. We are seeing it now.

@futurebird I've come to the conclusion that a fairly large percentage of the population is just addicted to conflict.They want Biden out, then they're 'shocked' he is. They spend 3 minute cheering Harris before they enjoy relating all the people out to destroy her run. Reality TV has a fuck of a lot to answer for.

@moira The hubris of that guy is just wild. I'm very disappointed by the inertia X has had. It should be more of a wasteland by now. I'm delighted that he feels he's not getting the ad money he is "entitled to" because it can only mean that advertisers don't see it as a valuable place to reach people. Which it isn't.

@futurebird @moira I refuse to use my account there ever since it was bought. Which mostly causes problems for me short term, I don't see updates from all the people I followed there. But maybe without all this I wouldn't have gone all in on Mastodon, so maybe it'll be worth it.

@futurebird It looked like the Rs were going to win with Biden running, so yes they very much would like him to.Also the main reason he dropped out.Now the Ds might field a candidate with better numbers and that completely ruins the plan.A plan I like to see ruined, mind you.If the candidate switch bends poll numbers back up, that's the outcome I wanted to see.

@futurebird@moiraA lot of what is wrong with guys is massive entitlement. When it's an entitled woman we can call her a Karen. If it's an entitled guy we call them Donald Trump or Elon Musk or a lot of other names. That there isn't a meme is telling.
